Michelle Yuen is a Software Engineer at the Adler Planetarium in Chicago, where she helps maintain Zooniverse.org, the world’s largest platform for people-powered research, also known as citizen science. Passionate about both technology and community, Michelle is an active organizer for ChicagoRuby, helping create welcoming spaces where developers can learn, connect, and grow through meetups and events.
Outside of work, you’ll likely find Michelle on the tennis court, searching for great tacos and nachos, playing with her mahjong club, cuddling with her cat (Bela), or happily nerding out over a clever programming or math problem.
